Style of a forum matter?

Does the style of a web forum matter? Which would you rather be part of a site that has better content or a site with an amazing design? What makes you stay at a forum?

well myself its both if the site has a nice design with quality content i will usually register

i think its content. if ur forum content is good and unique ppl will come whatever ugly style u use bcoz they need the thing which they found on ur forum nowhere else so they have to visit it for download purposes.

but if u want that members shld be active and stay in the board style shld be cool too.
so that they enjoy the place and love to stay there.

thats purely my thinking.
