Don't get host from XSServer.Eu

I wanna notice all members of wjunction do not get host from this company i'll write the reasons down. Ok so who are they? They are the old offshorehost.nl/eu, offshorehot.nl was a big company as i know and got crashed some months ago if u were hosted there u will know what happened they got 3-4 dedicateds down and their "daily back up" was lost and they went a lot of sites down ( and i was between these sites ), ok so my forum was not to big and i've go another time with their new company known as xsserver.eu/mvpservers.com and i got VPS from them, and last 2 weeks the connection was shit and the site was up only 2-3 hours a day. I contacted them and they told me i need to wait until 2 May until they move to new server. Ok so whats now? Yesterday i got contacted from them and they told me that their server got crashed and again i lost my site with all my files and without back up. So the point of this thread is to notice you who are they and all of you to see that they don't know to run hosting company and they are not serious.

They are noob hosts, I don't know when these guys can't handle servers then why do they come up to this business. I mean what? just for fast cash and nothing else?
Don't they care for the people's hard work in making the forums and sites?
These guys should be banned if they are some where here in WJ.

Ohh... The owner of this company wants from me to write here that i was hosted for "free", but they don't remember the Graphic work i have done for them.

Well we have hdd failure and we tried to recover our files but we didn't get any success after trying our best effort. And its unmanaged vps we dont take backups of unmanaged vps its your responsibility to a backup. And about offshorehost.nl/eu I don't have in my mind what are you trying to tell.

What our provider told that there is no 100% sure that file will be recovered...why don't you post that chat log too ?
 
I Use xsserver.eu service! and also lost my files but they are online 24X7 and as I know they tried their best to get the files recover but it happens! They are not like other host who stay quite and not letting clients what is going on

Love for XSServer.eu !
 
When you pay 2100$ and then told me that you tried to recover then i'll not write bad things about your host. But you want to pay 0$ and get a lot of money...

Yes hello to you to Mr.Host, what I want to say is just see what the guy above said,

How do you know we can't handle crash case and hardware crash can be happen anytime to anyone and due to this loss we are providing a month free to all of our clients who faced this nightmare.

Haan and no refund if the person asks for it rather going on for the one month free hosting?
I don't know actually why your server crashes but cummon think of yourself making a site with all your hardwork and it gets erased in a matter of second and that too you don't have a backup. Don't you feel pissed off?
My point is just change your host from where you have bought.

Thank you for warning everyone of this host - I sure hope they stay away from them if such stuff like that is happening.

It does make me wonder why people are still buying from them?.

I hope you can resolve your problems and find somewhere which more experience and a professional team to support you if there is any need.

We will provide refund to those clients who faced the hard disk failure have you seen any one posting "xsserver.eu didn't refund my payment". And I can understand the hardwork while making a site but if you do a hardwork why dont you do the small work of backups aswell ? And what do you mean by "My point is just change your host from where you have bought"

Cron will run daily backups of your db and files and send them to another host or you can download them to your hard drive.

This is your responsibility.. DO IT OR LOSE IT!!!!!!!!!!
 
I know it is not good to lose your data and do not have a backup, this is not good, since it happened to me. But I believe that an unmanaged vps backups are the responsibility of the user. However hardware problems can happen, I used the Sauravhosting and the same thing happened to me, I not even made judgments and accusations here in the forum. Why I am aware of problems that can happen;
I am a customer of the xsserver only two months ago but I can tell, they are decent people, and has excellent support, 24 hours a day, are very attentive and helpful.

Xsserver is a Good Company and Gryal A reliable person. Is that i think
 
Well, HDD failures might occur to anyone. Its like no one's fault actually (rather than the DC's)
So, shit happens, but even the host's point is right, that you must take regular backups of atleast your DB :)

Make a CRON job for it :p

I lost my auto-backup script which used to automate DB + /public_html files for download as backup each day/week :( It was a l337 script though lol

I wonder if any of the old school dudes have it here *cough* Whoo

We do not take backups of unmanaged vps and we have not stated on our website that we take backups on unmanaged vps
