hmmmm....Pain in the azz
Soon it'll be past 24 hours (yn)

But anyway I think individuals can 'try' to 'beg' leaseweb to temp. release their server for backup? (provided they're not a nasty + heck care company)

I did, but their tech support forward my e-mail to the sales...
so need to wait until sales back to the office and see what will they do:'(

Unless you have anything concrete to back up your statements, it's wise for you to not post anything.

Stop with the speculation, Glenn has already said that Darren is trying his best to get everything up and running. Unless you're a customer or an staff of RS, it's best for you not to post in this thread and continue with your uploading job. Don't speak/type unless you're certain. I'm pretty sure robert420 made it clear in his post earlier.

[mod]You need to stop mini-modding - Glenn doesn't know anything either so it doesn't matter what Glenn says. ~Mindy[/mod]

And I'm not trying to mini mod Mindy. Not even the slightest.

Yes, that is exactly what mini-modding is. You're telling another user what to do.

And where did Darren say that...I must have missed that.

Arh so the tech guys did not say anything abt why all servers are offline?

I dont think that would be possible.
How would leasweb recognize your servers ? Do You know on which Rack you are/were ? What details would you give to leaseweb ?

IP? That i'm not sure too :( I'm just thinking and hoping

All I'm saying is that when people post stuff that's not true, they make the clients more panic than they already are. In all fairness, Robert420 did mention only clients or staff of RS are allowed to post.

A few pages back. What Glenn said.

Darren is not in a position to do so!
He is trying all he can to get the company online!
We should have some update by this afternoon!

Darren is the only person who has information about this.
I am trying to speak to him, But he is Quite busy trying to deal with leaseweb.

Lets give him more time and wish the servers come online asap!

I am not sure, RapidSpeeds have their own IP ranges and Leasweb might not know which IP is routed to which Individual Server, may be they have information on which Rack it is.

Most Probably leaseweb wont agree to it, Unless You offer them Good money!

Money isn't a problem on this stage, at least they need to give me more information on what was happened and how's the progress on fixing the issue.

But so far, I got lots of unclear information which make me feel panic:'(

I posted some valid points :O

1. How much time can it really take to screenshot an email from leaseweb explaining the problem and post here ?

2. Let's say its true and leaseweb nullrouted all their network , how come their US servers are down ?

3. Their Main site , let's say its on the servers that got nullrouted , they can still connect to the private network - do a quick backup and setup on another server . Anyone being able to get them on phone ? - NO

* They are the ones speculating about a block from leaseweb & DDOS without any proof.

Bah - What type of DDOS can take down a company the size of RS on all locations !

1 . No way leaseweb nullrouted everything as their US servers use Powerloft DC - They are definitely hiding something

2 . If its a network issue then why can't anyone get them on phone ?

3. Its too big a coincidence this happened on the same day the company was supposed to be dissolved ^o)

İf a company staff doesnt bother to respond here what's going on after 1 day it's over for me.
Why a thread exist here then ?
Their trust damaged for me and about ddos , do rs think that all their customers stupid ?

I agree the lack of updates is disconcerting but there's nothing that can be done.

The staff did say something - Ajf264; but he hasn't got a clue to what's going on. Glenn has some info posted a few pages back. Read if you want to.

This is all frustrating, yes but I hope thehacker or Darren will post an update or two here.

Someone is quite right on what he wrote on twitter

@ryanshepherd @RapidSpeeds Updates aren't always about adding new information, just acknowledgement that someone's still paying attention.

Pernilla L: We would like to inform you that this issue is not caused by LeaseWeb infrastructure. We currently do not have any technical disturbances with regards to your services.

Pernilla L: As you are not our direct customer, we are not allowed to disclose any further details about the current situation, therefore we would advise you to contact Rapidspeeds directly for any further inquiries

So much for : ''Leaseweb nullrouted all our network due to a massive ddos "

I think Rapidspeeds is suffering financially.

My customers have given me grief for the last 15 or so hours, maybe more so i had to investigate a little further.

I currently have all my servers based in the Netherlands.

Look at the facts:

US servers and NL servers are all down.

5-6Gbps ddos will not take down the network

And the killer one which worries me was i emailed leaseweb yesterday, they confirmed in email that they had no network issues what so ever.

I asked them if they can provide any information regarding rapidspeeds, they wouldnt give me any information

BUT this is the worrying bit, they are trying to gain me as a customer!

I dont understand why they would do that when contracts are in place with Rapidspeeds.

That email worried me.

Im preparing for the worst case scenario, if this goes wrong then my business will struggle.

Thats what i got, but they asked me to email them to gain me as a custmomer. You must have posted while i was typing that all out.

Im very worried right now.

Guys, rapidspeeds claims that they own all the hardware equipments. If that's true, they won't run away.
But the thing is , whats the proof that they own the equipments ?

They don't own the equipment, they just lease from leaseweb. The same as about 20 other companies doing the same thing:
- lease racks and servers
- put in their own switches (leasing from LW is very expensive, vs cheap switches)
- buy bandwidth/IP from LW
- ???
- PROFIT!

Sunanda: In case you consider becoming a direct customer of LeaseWeb, please contact our sales department at sales@leaseweb.com so we can provide you with a new offer within 1 - 2 business days. We kindly request you to use ‘Rapidspeeds to LeaseWeb’ as the subject of your mail and include all technical details of your current server(s), this way we can handle your request as soon as possible.

To anyone considering of moving from RS to Leaseweb :

Don't forget that Leaseweb won't allow any Warez related materials + as for their 100tb bandwidth offer - they will most likely block your server after using 10tb. Check out their fair usage policy on those servers carefully as many customers got f**** after a few days with that.
