SMF would be my fav even if it's not on the list, mods are pretty well a 1 click installation and I just liked the customization alot better then anything to be honest.
Vbull 2 was fun though, so easy to hack into a kids nulled version oh it was great dropping there database over and over.

vBulletin has a lot of mods, that is why its used more, but I have heard that IPB is more efficient that vB.

I'm currently using both IPB and XF (for the sites on my sig) and I really cannot choose which one is better.

One downfall is XF doesn't have as much support as IPB, but the XF community seems to be a bit more respectful then IPB community (their official forums).

I haven't played around with XF, but I can really see XF climbing to the top in the near future though.
