One suggestion for service - when You get low amount of money - should be sent some kind of e-mail remainder like: "you've got just 0,40$ - need to paid...."
There are a few, I wont name who as it could ruin their privacy. Basicly it will add 2xthe ping between services.
If you are in the US id highly recomend using NL instead of RU due to the better peering and better connection. There isnt much different between NL->US and RU->NL/DE (which me and a lot of people are using)
Oh, and another question as Nginx has caching possibility, do we have some space for caching?
If so could be great to enable caching, so that dynamic pages would be served from the new Ip rather than going each time to the real server, and after an hour or so, or something else if set (Cache-Control and Expires HTTP headers) it would go again on the server to retrieve the updated page...
That way even with a server at the other side of the world latency might stay low - if there is enough CPU/RAM & I/O on the proxy node.
Edit: was typing while you answered me, thanks for your reply
Caching is not currently possible, we are working on a full featured caching system where you can create zones etc.
If you want to control it with Cache-Control parameters I could rig something up quickly. Although most dynamic pages arent cachable and if latency is an issue serving static files via CDN is a great fix (improves latency too :P)
My OWN CDN is currently not available publicly, it will be back once I feel its ready for public consumption. And yes, its based on 3xDedis and 4xVPS and 1xCloud (BASE).
It would take as long as it took for the host to sort it out :P Ill be moving x4b.org to its own server in the comming days so that if either node goes down you can still create a temporary IP on the other etc.
