Wintry Weather

Is anyone else having problems getting to work at the moment or is it just restricted to us in the UK?

Myself and Hawk who is in Manchester were talking about this yesterday. He was off because of the weather. I'm in Ireland and we've a good bit of snow too. Airports and schools closed. Public transport delayed or cancelled and long tailbacks on roads. Record cold temperatures. etc.

It's winter though what do you expect.

That is very funny because I am here in Canada where the misconception is polar bears roam the streets, penguins slide around every and we are all Eskimos, yet we don't have any snow. I know it doesn't apply to my whole country as Image told me he has snow, but I have none.

Well, as you might already know, i'm from Kosovo, Balcan, Europe, and there isn't any snow here yet, no low temperatures or anything like that, it's geting colder daily, but nothing big.

Even if there would be snow and cold weather, school, transport, work, wouldn't be stopped here, so it would be the same for me and the people who live in my country.

We're in mid Lincs in the UK & never get any weather as bad as we're meant to - Until today. There's over a foot of snow out there & it's meant to be -8/-10 overnight!

Caused real problems around here, but then again I live in a country that ran out of gritting salt last year & mostly grinds to a halt with just 6 inches of snow :P

In Cyprus the 1st of December was the hottest day of December (winter) ever recorded here. I'm still wearing t-shirts here. -.-

I deal with -20*C, -30*C, -40*C everyday. I get about 5-6 feet of snow every year. My winter is 8/9 months long. I ain't bitchin :P I love winer :D

Doing shopping is real pain tho - i live in north-eastern europe, temperature right now is minut 12 degrees celsius, piles of snow sometimes reach knees and there are huge traffic jams everywere.
