Though I would Prefer Mac over Windows anytime.

Voted for Windows. Brother owns a MAC, so I have used it and its shit. He himself uses his Windows PC all the time to get his work done. More expensive doesn't always mean better.

The answer is simple if you are dedicated lover of software stuff...Mac is best.., if you just want to use Pc , entertain yourself,play games Windows is best Its to individual.

Macs are just a great OS installed on overpriced hardware. Its all marketing.

You can get a Mac for $4000, and with the same system specs you can get a plain $1000 (tops) PC and install any OS on it. It's like the iPhone. Overpriced compared to others, but in the end, you are paying for the brand, the reputation, the trend and the software.
