Purpose of the vpn may change on your using terms.
If you're sharing files or something like that, none of them are usable.I mean, you are trying to be hide your identity but you can not even do that.
Use off shore vpn and save your asses.Unless, someday feds knock your door.

Only reason I would personally use a US based VPN is for access to restricted content (streaming).

Best bet though for added security is to get a dedicated server or VPS from a re-seller, where you do not need to add your real details. Then set it up as a VPN and make sure all logs are deleted regularly.

Just wondering why everyone is saying USA and recommending the likes of HideMyAss? Aren't USA VPNs the most risk due to chance of server raid? And the likes of HideMyAss well known for taking logs and also handing them over upon request?

Defeats the purpose of a VPN if you ask me.
