1. Sony KDL-40EX710

* Both are 40'' - was going for a 46-55'' but found out that they had lower frequency e.g 50-100hz and was not very good for fast-moving shows/sports etc... Any comments on that would be great :)


* I don't need the 3D or Internet TV feature for now


Which one will provide better performance ?

Sony is good, but it depends on ur budget,

sony price will be high as its quality was more, where samsung was less due to its quality of sound and picture was little bit different compare with sony
 
I have had the Samsung Series 7 UA40C7000 aka UN40C7000 for about 1 month now.

No problems, excellent colour and sound.
 
Both are good in general but Sony is slightly better than Samsung, as far as i know. Like AppleS said, Sony's price is higher than the Samsung's, so its depending on your budget.
 
Samsung. Unbelievable features. Just Love it.

Mate, If you need Larger Size With Excellent Frequency You should go for plasma TVs. LED and LCD do not work well beyond size of 40".
 
They're both good, I personally would go with the Samsung, from my experience the clarity on them is usually slightly better. After a while it doesn't matter though your eyes can only see so much.
