like others have said, if they want to get you they will get you no matter what, theres so many traces that will lead to you.it may take 1-2 yrs to get you if you hide traces and stuff but they will get you if they are after you.

if something serious is against you .. even whoisguard will give your details to the public.. Read their TOS ..

Yup Domains by Proxy is the way to go, I know a few torrent trackers which are using it for a couple of years now without a single problem.
