which are the best LAN play game

I want to know the names of some Games which can be played over lan offline not on internet.
I played only a few games like NFS, CS 1.6, CS GO, Left for Dead
is there any other game not only a game rather an intresting game to play over lan with normal computer configuration. :heiligenschein:

Some classic LAN party games we always bust out are Quake 3, Unreal Tournament 2004, Worms Armageddon, Trackmania Forever, Halo, Age of Empires 2, and Diablo 2. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is a fun newer one, as is GTA 4 multiplayer and Team Fortress 2. Minecraft can be pretty fun too with some PVP mods such as TDM, CTF etc.

It seems that most new games REQUIRE internet for multiplayer, for example Starcraft 2 forces you to log into battle.net online, EA Games force you to use Origin, etc etc

I think your best bet is to look @ games released from like 2005-2010ish because I feel like this new push to get away from LAN to internet based multiplayer has been going on for like the last five years or so.
