I want to start a paypal-like business.

Transactions over the internet can be done though me.

What kind of infrastructure would I need to do this?

I'm serious, with the way paypal keeps screwing off people there is a lot of money to be made by filling the vaccum they are leaving.

I just don't see why Payza and webmoney are sooooo difficult to work with. Honestly, how can it be so hard.

With the market the way it is they could probably charge a 5% transaction fee and we would gladly take it

You would need a legal team first off. zYou would have to work with credit card companies to be able to process their cards. It is a bigger hassle then you know of.

You will need to be a legal business with a ton of money backing you incase there is a security hole and you get tons of fraud.

Honestly if you even need to ask i dont think you should bother with it, im not sure anyone is going to use a brand new payment processor, especially one created by a newish member here. And as for paypal i have never been "screwed" by them at all, i just dont use crappy PPD filelockers.

@PayZak

Posting the never ending sentence is not going to get you any consideration either.

This is the internet, the first thing most people think when someone requests they be trusted is to not trust that person.

Stop trying so hard. Make a couple dozen useful posts that are not self serving and you will begin to become accepted.

Trust and respect is earned by not only your prior reputation but also by your current actions, posts, and how you present them.

You also might want to try forming your posts so they are easier to read. This is a diverse forum with users from around the globe and English is not everyone's primary language here although it is required by the rules to be the language used.

I'd like to a see a paypal alternative made but somethign that uses bitcoin as the fiat type of backing currency and is all setup similar to paypal with merchant apis etc and payment gateways

that way its easy to send money(bitcoin) to they're registered email and it would need to ahve good security limit logins to specific ips or tokenized devices like yubikeys and similiar, lots of 2 factor authentication options and ofc no restrictions by countries

Was hoping kim dotcom made something similar but called MegaPay would be perfect :)

Legal documents

Wont you need some sort of VAT number as well?

Payment system - need to look at encryption

How will you manage stock/orders/payments?

-lots of money involved
-big team
-branches atleast at 2-3 countries for support
-high cost servers to protect yourself from DDOS
-High secure code to avoid hacking/Frauds
-Encryption to save the user sensitive data
and muore...

You have one problem you're probably never be able to solve: money. When dealing with credit cards, you don't receive the money instantly, but on a regular, agreed basis(mostly monthly), so if you have hundreds of credit card purchases through your system, you better have the cash to back it up when the receivers demand their money.

I'm thinking that is the current problem Payza is experiencing. An influx of users can, and hopefully will, destroy them.

Then, you add in the credit card fraud. Paypal as a huge business, with the finances to support themselves, and they cannot prevent fraud. They can only minimize it, and take the bad PR rap.

Problem with bitcoin is the value of it changes quite a bit (much more than normal currency) in a very short amount of time.

You Need Permission From Govt. + Legal documents and it take More Time and Works than your thought Not like normal site and Also need Win trust to run it
