I also suggest starting out with phpBB if you've never ran a forum before. it is easy to use and customize.
Don't mess with nulled scripts at first if you can't handle the problems with it.
BTW: pimpinjg, funny you list phpBB as junk when two of the biggest warez forums in the world uses it.
