What is dangling link?
Dangling Links are Links which are pointed to non-indexable Webpages, Links that are "nofollowed", or Links linking to Webpages which are themselves considered Dangling. A Webpage can be non-indexable if either the robots.txt file excludes this Webpage, or if the META robots directive indicates "noindex". A "nofollow" Link is considered dangling because the Link Flow® is not diverted to other Links on that Webpage. A Webpage is considered Dangling when it doesn't have any "Followable" Links on it. The SEO Engine™ detects these Dangling Links and warns the customer about them. For each Link, the customer can see if it was pointed to a non-indexable Webpage, or a Dangling Webpage when SEOENGBot™ visited it. In addition, information about Dangling Links can be seen on both the Webpage and Website levels.
