I'm going to start development on WCDDL v2 soon, not sure how soon though.

It'll probably be coded in OOP (classes) and will be completely compatible with wcddl v1 modules.

Also, for the release of V2 i may make a private area on the WC forums in which trusted webmasters may download private modules.

Awesome, sounds good mate.

I probably won't be upgrading for some time though, I've already done too many changes to the WCDDL coding on NexusDDL.
 
Yeah that's why I try not to release versions too fast as most people do some heavy modifications.
 
By the way, I'll be happy to code and release some nice modules in the Trusted Webmasters forum on WC once it's ready :)

I'll release my site ratings system too, nothing big but many like it! :p
 
Yeah i'll get a new design from a team member or find a free one.

Also, I may implement SEO by default from now on (as in SEO urls).
 
The core is coded and works as expected.
Module system has been completely replaced but major modules will be updated for compatibility. Also, SEO URLs mod may not be released to the public but may instead be released in the trusted webmaster area of the WC forums.

Also, the code is valid to PHP strict standards and many, many backend things have been changed.

Now only tweaks, mods and a new skin remain to be completed.

Sounds awesome mate!

But on the downside, there'll be a lot more "nooby" DDL sites :p
 
Well there will be as many as there are already.
I thought that problem through way before creating WCDDL and decided (with other webmasters) that it wouldn't cause any damage.
 
Yeah I plan on using another design, the original was just a quick one as I don't spend much time doing designs.

I try to concentrate on the backend as webmasters change the design anyway.

Also, added admin notes now and changed CFG system a little.

Damn, can't wait!

I might upgrade and move all my mods over, etc.. Will take time though.
