Since RS made the 25GB limit there were 1000`s of dead posts on waz-warez so I have made a link checker (based on the dman checker)


My coding is poor, so if you want to bash it, make your own and post it, or post some improvements for it.

FileSonic.com

Uses very little resources & checks upto 80k topics per hour depending on your server location


Run the script using the url linkchecker.php?topic=1000
t= is starting topic

its working good.. binning etc...

Problem is its not editing the topic at all... It doesnt display whether the posts is dead or alive or the checked dates too

Same problem with mee

Edit:- here is the solution just replace this

'deadlinks' => $row['deadlinks'],

to this

'DEADLINKS' => $row['deadlinks'],

in viewtopic.php

no change here either, the sql part is working and the css is applying aswell (added a div on mainpage to check it) any ideas?

I will test it out on a default phpbb3 install later to test it & make subsilver edits


did you refresh the template cache, and see the div in the source code?

Getting some weird error,
it says, atleast one topic is waiting for approval under Graveyard forum where the dead topic was moved by your linkchecker mod, but when i try to see there are nothing such topics awaiting for approval...

well, did you edit the linkchecker.php and update your graveyard forum ID ??
