Why? I did nothing to ANYONE. Anything Boxhead does has NOTHING to do with me.

I just host him. Its bad to host a good friend? =/ I'm sorry hes pwning all of your sites but if you just talk to him nicely, as I did when I first met him you won't have any problems.
 
Try to secure yourself more next time, he probably hacked u with a public exploit or got access to one of your sites on the server - put a shell on it, and root the server. Even a stupid idiot could do that, be ready for the next time and stay safe.

but as profit said, talk to him nicely n what you will get is a good luck n positive response :)

just paid him.. so now am happy and sorry for all the sites :(

Ok then well if hes a "noob" and using noobish methods to hack your sites. It shows just how much of a noob in fact you are because its so easy to hack your sites LOL! If you dont know how to secure your sites then prepare to be hacked.
 
Its easy to significantly reduce your chances of getting hacked; Get a dedicated server and pay a server technician who has a good reputation to secure your server.

You should also stop using nulled copies of commercial software and use open source alternatives, eg phpBB > IPB & VB.

Sorry to hear about this JmZ, I would of thought you of all people would be able to prevent getting hacked by Boxhead. :(

Let me clear this up.

No, he didn't "hack" all my sites, he didn't "hack" any of my sites.
He exploited xenu & suspended all of my domains, replacing the suspension page with his own.

He left a trail behind the size of a river and he didn't even get root access (or even SSH access).

He also uploaded a shell called lndex.php, like I wouldn't notice.

Also, the fact that he claims to be leaking latestdownloads.net DB is rather illogical considering LD hasn't run on my server for a long time and doesn't even run on a DB now.

As for the other databases, truthfully it doesn't really bother me. Its content and hashes, i really don't care.

He can spend all his life trying to crack the hash of a password I only use on xenu if he wants, it doesn't really affect me.

If he had any knowledge of me, he'd know that 90% of those sites have hardly any traffic and the ones that do have traffic contain nothing sensitive. Plus I don't even specialise in running warez sites anymore, hence the lack of interest in this situation.

One of the reasons he got in is because one of my security scripts wasn't running. If it was, he probably wouldn't have got access. He's the second person to exploit any of my sites ever, the first got lucky by the same script not running.

He's site is "BeLegit.org" , If he was really a "hacker" he could code his CMS, he wouldn't use vBulletin, and some raped public template, + some shitty banner on his site. + Noticed this?

Umm. vBulletin is using MD5 hash, not some "other" hash. And SMF is SHA1, so yeah. That guy is a complete retard. He's probably using some vBulletin exploit, because only things he "hack" are some lame noobish forums. -,-

And he's lame if he thinks that mySQL Injection or RFI/LFI, is hacking.
 
jmz deserved it, such an idiot, was 2 years friends with him, he made even scripts for me, paid him a lot, but he stays a idiot, and now he think he is somebody, you just got hacked/fucked, and yet he says not, kid
 
May I ask why is everyone getting defensive?

I was sympathizing at first, but now because of that ego boost bleh. Like what another member said, if he's a noob, then he shouldn't be able to do that stuff to you. If it's your mistake, don't get all high and mighty about it because "shit happens".

This thread is not about who's l33t and who's not.

I couldn't care less if all of you have l33t skills in hacking or protecting your stuff, good for you. It's because of ego crap like that nothing gets solved.

Anyone can get hacked, exploited... no one is above another, as we can obviously see.
 
Even kid can run an exploit. So It's not about l33t and noob skills el_jentel1 , It's about that 90% "webmasters" from WJ are noobs. They know to do this :

-> Download nulled vBulletin/ or pay it, nulled IPB/paid / or some open source script.
-> Make DB for it, install it.
-> Find some template for it.
-> Post it here in reviews.

And that's all. Why he couldn't own w-bb ? Or projectW ? Because he can't. That's all, he can own only some noobish wannabe webmasters. End of story.
