Seemingly randomly, my vps (centOS 32bit) based in lithuania, changes the security key on me. which shuts down all proocesses (my websites, and irc server) but yet on solusvm it says the server is still online. when i try to log in via ssh, it says im wrong password. i have to reboot the server, wait a few minutes, then i can log in fine, after saying yes to changing my security key in my cache.

even if im logged in on ssh and doing stuff, it'll suddenly say the remote computer terminated the connection, and says wrong password when i try to reconnect.

anyone know what is happening and how i can fix it?

tried google, can't find anything, maybe im just using the wrong search terms though.

Hello,

here is the log messages
i tried centOS 5 openvz but it wont let me install kloxo, so i reinstalled my OS (centos 32bit 3 times now and every time, right after ii install kloxo this happens.) so im going to reinstall the os and just leave it and see if it happens without kloxo installed, if it does, then i have no idea.

it did it again after reinstalling centos and installing kloxo.
i reinstalled centos without kloxo now and we'll see what happens.

happens again.. fuck it, who knows, ill see if i can move to another vps, if not ill move hosts i guess, i cant deal with this kind of bullshit anymore.

EDIT - it does the same thing on a FRESH INSTALL OF CENTOS 5 32 BIT! what the hell is going on? it has to be a server problem correct?

maybe you can try this :
Reinstall the VPS OS with clean, or just basic OS. No Kloxo, or any control panel.
Check the result of /var/log/secure
Is it only you the one who loging in to VPS? Or there is another person?
Next, move your default ssh port.
And last, change all of your password.

If it still the same, maybe the problem is at the server.

well i can't even log in anymore.

i did a fresh reinstall of the OS and it wouldnt let me log in, so i changed the password and rebooted the server, waited a while, and it wont let me log in, just says access denied. im totally confused, and have no idea what is going on.

hopefully the host can figure it out.

i don't know much about VPS but u could contact your datacenter.. host and let them know about what is going on or reinstall the VPS OS clean
