You will need a VPS running XEN, KVM to run windows on your VPS

Look for a windows vps host, You will be able to connect from remote desktop connection via Windows to use as an RDP

Yes, RDP is built into all Windows versions from XP/2003 forward.

Not all (many do not) VPS providers support windows and as such before you buy a VPS you want to make sure its supported and if there is any additional fee for the windows license.

Good luck!

so if the company offers vps with windows it has rdp access included and i do not have to do something extra, right?

If a company is offering Windows VPS with remote desktop connection connection enabled, then you don't need to do anything at your end.

But if they just offer windows VPS you can ask them to configure remote desktop connection for you, or you can do it your self. Make sure to confirm before you proceed.

Regards

You can easily activate the remote desktop on your Windows VPS.

We use VMWare ESXi for virtualizations for both Linux and Windows VPS which includes RDP by default. Xen is not a good idea for RDP works.

@kotoulitsa, Just buy a Windows VPS. By default all Windows VPS comes with Remote desktop enabled on it. If not, you can contact the VPS provider to get it enabled. If the VPS comes with access to solusvm panel, you can do it yourself.

@m107, Xen is also good when used with Paravirtulized drivers installed. VMWare ESXi commercial license costs too much and free versions are not allowed to be used for any commercial activities like selling VPS or using in a company's environment.

Cheetah, We use latest VMware ESXi with our own network and servers, we prefer quality over price :)
Small companies can not afford the price, but we are in business since 2008 ;)
