Vb 4.1.5 high load , please help

I upgraded my vb yesterday and everything has started to show the following (mySQL processes):

copying to tmp table
and
waiting for table meta lock

I would really appreciate some help

The load rises very quickly to 30s and then the 80s.

If I block others to view the board, it is quite normal on load (1 or 2). As soon as I open it for public within a second the peak goes up.

It is a spanish board with less members, still the problem.

Do you have vBOptimize installed?

I have disabled all my hooks still the post table is in the copying to tmp table state.

Which is your MySQL version?

Also I am not familiar with vB but I think you'd have to rebuild posts before opening board to public after upgrading (don't ask me how. wait for replies)
