You could profit from hotlinking by tier A - but that was the not important tier (remember you saying people WANTED lower payouts for tier A? lol)
If it was $65 it would've been acceptable. But there's no way to only target tier A traffic, so you always get B,C,D downloads thus lose money really fast.
i agree with this idea
i talk about 450mb-700mb the rate you down if you think so far you can think if a person they always upload a file 4,7gb and they will split a file 451mb or 452mb they will have 9 or 10 file for 4,7gb ,and they post 9,4gb or over everyday and when somebody like download faster they will buy premium account ,and if they just post file 700mb over somebody never buy premium account ,and downloader hate uploader too, and you lost your profit
now your rate we can earn it 30usd the same rate with bitshare, with free user the file will be delete 30 days if nobody download ,bitshare is 190 days,
you remember uploader seldom spend their money if it doesn't make profit for them ,but you always want uploader spend money ,it's not easy

Usershare, since you told me my math is off,in PM, and make jokes on me, here I will share my 'off' math with everyone, and when people do their own calculations, we will have the answer which math is off.
Split your files to 50MB, or even less.
Upload HUGE files, the bigger the better, no one will download half a way, and then give up.
Split them in 50MB parts, no one cares if it is 1MB part, when you are paying for traffic.
Example, split 12GB to 240 pieces, every piece is 1 download point.makes one complete download 240 points.
This way you get:
5500GB=250$
1000DL=9$ Group A
5500GB=5500000MB of traffic = 110000 possible download points from 50MB files
110000/1000 = 110 * 9$ = 990$ from 250$ investment.
even if we make a solution where traffic is from all groups equal we have (9+7+5+2) / 4 = 5.75$ per 1000 downloads in average
110.000 / 1000 = 575$ for traffic that you payed 250$
You upload 50mb file size. someone will click your 50mb link. and it prompt whether to download or not. he click "cancel".. your bandwidth just lost 50mb.
you forget count how much bandwith do you lost if somebody just click on the link but they don't download that file because usershare request a file is completely downloaded to count
i remember the file 50mb and under you can download immediately even you don't have premium account,why do you waste money for that file ?
