I've discovered a very disturbing issue with UL.
While doing some experiments, I have tried to download my own files from UL, but instead of one of my files I received an installer. Some sort of aggressive malware.
I have downloaded as a regular user without a premium. It seems that UL pushes an *.exe file instead of my file and no one bothers to inform me as an uploader, not to mention that no profit is shared as well.
However, this is not the biggest issue. Recently my website got banned by Google. It took me by surprise and it took me a long time to figure out the reason and finally I was able to get it from Google support.
They just said that UL is in a black list for reasons of being a malware peddler basically and this is the reason for the ban of my site! I'm still shocked a little. I will be removing all of UL links and ban this host on my website and hope I can restore my Google rep and position. Did any of you had this problem with your website? Have you seen and *.exe installer being pushed instead of your file? Be aware people.

Yes, you are right. If you don't have premium account and want to download a file as a free user, when u donwload this file it's a ".exe" file, some virus.
I think this is the problem with no sales, no downloads in this days.

Is not an issue, it's just an annoying option for free users, you just have to uncheck "Download Manager" option below the captcha, I think Secure Upload (and a few others I guess) does the same thing
