Title: WMZ Payout update!
Dear affiliates, just an update regarding WMZ payouts here. Our exchanger was having some problems of his own, and has just contacted me today stating that he will catch up on the wmz deposits in the next few days. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I hope this few days will be short.

Thak you umb support.

the UMB support guy was getting a little ticked off by all the complaining that goes on here, rather than people actually posting real support questions. Plus with the major interface upgrade, they're probably pretty busy. They did answer one of my support emails today, so someone's out there listening somewhere.

and like you, I do hope he comes back. this thread has been helpful in finding answers to some questions about how UMB works.

I've spoken with multiple people at Ultramegabit with excellent response times every time. So I'm guessing if anyone is having trouble getting a response from Ultramegabit then your support requests are likely too vague and they're too busy to play guessing games to figure out what your looking for.

Since I've been speaking with them frequently I do have a pretty good handle on generally what's up with them and I'll try to field some answers in this thread on anything that I feel that I can answer based on personal experience with affiliating with Ultramegabit.

As far as getting ticked off about what is being said on here, I fully understand that. In my last job we had a very similar forum to this set up for our partners to talk to each other. It would amaze me to read it to see how one shitty partner with an IQ of about 4 would invent some issue with our product when the issue was really with his own systems to begin with. And shortly thereafter our ticket system would get swamped with people who suddenly thought they were having the same problem.

Forums can inherently have their own mob mentality, which is why the administration of this site is so quick to ban people who use terms like "scam" without providing detailed information to support the use of the word "scam". So I don't blame Ultramegabit for feeling frustrated by things being said on here, in fact just by skimming through the last few pages of this thread I have to say that I think they're handling any such frustration better than I have myself (when I was in their shoes).

BTW - I'm not targeting this reply towards hyp, this is just my thoughts for everyone...

They're US based which is likely why they have to depend on a third party WMZ exchanger as WebMoney is fortunately banned from the US. Even for file hosts based outside of the US it is common practice for them to rely on a third party payout exchanger as part of their financial channels. This is mainly due to the fact that many file hosts have become the target for certain anti-piracy groups who have been quite successful at freezing the bank accounts used by file hosts over the last couple of years.

Its just my two cents but anyone who is serious about making any worthwhile income from file host affiliation wouldn't waste their time with intermediary systems like Webmoney, PayPal, etc.; rather use of wire transfers (which I'm not 100% clear that Ultramegabit provides this to their affiliates at the time of this writing as its not listed as a payout option on their interface).

Ultramegabit increase ppd rate tier 2 its very low

I've personally found that PPD is generally a waste of time for file host affiliates who are serious about what they do. Its really more suited for trolls that try to make a buck chipping away by only re-uploading stuff thats already been uploaded by someone else.

If you provide large quantities of unique content then many people will purchase a premium account from you so that they can download it from you.

Lastly, please don't PM me asking me how I do it unless you want to get a nasty response. Use your brain and think up of something on your own, its really not that hard.

The new remote upload option doesn't have a place to put in the username/pass for the remote host.

Try to use the syntax:
Code:
http://USER:PASSWORD@DOMAIN.NAM/file/0123456789
I will say that this will not work for the majority of file hosts as they commonly require cookie based authentication for downloading.

The remote upload feature I think is more designed for people who run their own dedicated servers and/or VPS systems who can move their data over to their web server's public directory to publicly host the files to be "remote uploaded".

I personally think that this method is a waste of time to use in normal circumstances (although I do use this as part of my imgChili scripts).

If your finding yourself in a situation where you need to do some remote uploading to any file host I suggest that it'd be more worth your while to research some of the VPS providers available right here on this forum. Get one that runs Windows and use it to JDownloader your files down and Z_O_O_M uploader your files up....

payment received of 15/10/2013

What's about payment of
22/10/2013?

10/22 was just 5 days ago, all the file hosts I've used have had delays of 1-2 weeks before they payout. Some file hosts don't publish how long their affiliate payout delays are, and from my experience those file hosts have delays upwards of a month or more...

The reason why file hosts have a delay for paying out affiliates is because they need to build in some security to prevent fraudulent activities resulting in the file host being scammed. Such example in a simplified sense would be if someone were to set up an affiliate account, then buy 500 premium memberships from them, receive the 500 affiliate sales, cash out on the earnings, then cancel the 500 premium memberships.

Ultramegabit is legit and you'll get your affiliate earnings soon I'm sure :)

I've just created an account and there is nowhere to put in your payment details.
It says in the FAQ - Please log in to your account, and click your username (in upper right hand corner of screen), then profile, then profile settings, then affiliate, and enter your correct payment details. A valid address and name and phone number is required. If you are from USA, a valid EIN or tax ID is also required.
But when I click profile there is no 'profile settings' option.Or anyway to choose a campaign.
(By the way I haven't uploaded anything yet if that makes a difference, just registered a new account)

thanks for the help in this thread eddiejohnson.

We have been extremely busy upgrading our code, and our network backend, and we also have lives, and families. WMZ payouts are almost caught up, as I just spoke with our exchanger today, he said he has processed all of the prior weeks payout, and will be done with this last weeks payout tomorrow. Since we're in USA, we cannot have our own Webmoney account, so we have to rely on a 3rd party to process payments for us. Sometimes, they have issues of their own, which is beyond our control. I suggest that you use paypal, as we have full control over this payout, and do not have to rely on someone to process them for us.

File download counts have returned!
yippie :)

not only have they returned, but in the next few days, you will have a very detailed report of all earnings per file. I'm telling you, we're working hard here at UMB.

Hey UMB, I want to sign up and start with your affiliate program but don't want to give my name/address/phone number etc (I've never had to with other filehosts).
I am in the UK not the US, so can I leave it blank or will I be wasting my time because I won't get paid unless I fill that part out?

Thanks for your help :)

we need to have some information in those fields for tax purposes.

Dont you allow direct linking for premium members ?

no, we don't allow direct download linking, if you're referring to hotlinking.

Please make some options on Premium subscription like:

To pay in advance, to pay more than 30 days

Can you please explain a little more my friend? Thanks.

In the upper right hand corner of the screen, when you're logged in, click your username, then click profile, after that page loads, click the blue settings icon on the left hand side, then click the affiliate tab, then enter your information. You cannot choose any other campaign other than PPD, unless you have been approved for PPS. You can apply for the pps campaign by clicking the button Campaigns, then Request PPS plan activation.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply UMB Support but there is no 'affiliate tab'.
There are 5 tabs 'Profife/Security/Change E-mail/Change Password/Change Avatar' but no affiliate tab
(I've tried it with IE + Chrome and the tab's not there on either)

Edit - It's OK it's suddenly appeared now.

Do I just leave the tax details part blank as I'm in the UK not the US?

are you an affiliate? Did you click the affiliate link on the bottom of the page? If you are not an affiliate, you would not have the affiliate tab. If you are an affiliate, pm me with your username, or open a ticket in your profile.

Just wanted to say that the Ultramegabit development team did a great job yesterday freshening up both of the "Non-Premium" download page and "Premium Only Downloads" download pages.

Both pages are now far more easier to read. I see that my sales have spiked since these changes which is pretty sweet considering that no changes were even made to the CAPTCHA wait times, just simply improved CSS which is clearly resulting in better conversion rates.

Great work guys!

Hi, I am currently a PPD affiliate and want to join the PPS plan and then opened 2 tickets to request to join, but never have reply for like 4-5 days, can you help me out?? The username is the same as mine here: elkanah. Cheers
