I do have another plan, actually idea is adapted, maybe you should offer a bit low, like

-Instead of upto $40 offer $30
-Make hybrid plan a bit low, like 50% of downloads + 25% of sales
-And individual affiliates also, like Just PPD or PPS or Hybrid

If you work in this way you don't need to block traffic, cause you'll see the number of uploaders are decreasing, so less uploads decent traffic. Just because of your crazy Money offer brings you this huge uncontrollable traffic. Hope you got me
 
I agree with Danny.Don't limit the filesize to 600MB!Actually,the 600MB is enough for me,but fortunately,not I'm the only user. :) The 1gb size limit for free users is necessary.
If you would like to limit something,limit the traffic volume.For example 5gb for free,10gb for registered.Or something like that.

This is my opinion,of course. :)
 
Since not many people are that eager to offer suggestions I'll pitch in with my opinion.
As to file size limit if you are gonna set any, I believe maximum of 1gb for guests / free users is optimum since it is already established on some other hosts. And if someone wants to use you as a mirror and you set limit to something like 600mb you won't be an option any longer.

If technically doable I'd suggest you limit the speed after certain bandwidth is consumed by an ip. Something like give them maximum speed or some decent speed for first 200mb then drop the speed to something much lower. That way people would get a taste of benefits from having a premium account before purchasing it.
If you are gonna limit daily bandwidth for guests I think dannyarcher's suggestion is way over the top and utopia.
In any case I think my suggestion of dropping the speed gradually would be great. You can eventually drop it to something miserable when user consumes like 1 or 2gb. But then you would have to make it very clear on the download page that is gonna happen so that downloaders don't assume that it is just unstable host with varying speed. Then it would be harder to cheat by changing an ip or deleting a cookie.

Btw buttons on download page are not displaying correctly in IE9, it is fine in other browsers. This is what it looks like:

 
In my opinion 1gb & 10gb traffic is standard, and got 2 votes too lol, and yes Download Buttons Are Like Faded White Color, but in my eu rdp its visible
 
we could use images instead of buttons or just grey buttons!. yes IE 9 shows it like that some browsers show it babyblue some white. that's bad

set it to 10gb. about final size we can talk now

The download speed is very slow again.I think this moment not the "full house" of traffic,and still 50-100k the download speed.I tried few hours earlier,and everything was fine.What happened with sr54?High traffic or what?
 
you have PPD 100% and for PPS you can choose to use it or not! if you don't use PPS it's ok!

you have PPD+PPS. Use PPD or PPS or both :)
 
hey hey hey, after szk said download speed is slow, I tried as free user, what have u done man? captcha & 1min waiting time! I typed the captcha, don't know why it says, wrong captcha then this
