Not at all, just some would overuse it, and i'll just remove them in the end ( users not emotes lol )
There is no real trolls here, this is not 4chan. Basic meaning of smileys is to express a feeling of writer, and to add some fun in it. Basically, these smileys would remove the use of few hundred Kb meme images, that actually clutters the board. New smileys will just replace the use of old ones, so you will have the same amount of smileys in chatbox... or in translation, ppl can choose to use
Stupid is only to assume something, without seeing it in act. Smileys are there to be used. That is why you have them. If you don't like them, you have ad-block plugin, you can block them from seeing them....
Assumers will always assume shit is going to collapse...

2 kb image doesn't clutter the board. WJ, as far as I know is running off of SSD disks, right? So, it's your shitty connection, and lulzimg, or imgcrave, and not WJ, that loads slow...if those images are hosted on WJ server, there would be a difference in loading page with 10 smileys with like 0.05secs...

my connection isnt shitty. but at times it becomes shitty and i dont wanna wait a min to load a page. but have some respect for some people that live in not so developed countries and have limited speeds. btw. 0.05 seconds can mean a lot to some people.
