True but that could always be changed,

It never change , until you remove that cname from CF . If you really want to hide the IP from CF , then remove every single cname , even mx entries . Use externel app for mails like google app .

I was into cf integration with cloudlinux and learnt so many things with it . DDoS can be stopped but same it need to be setuped correctly .

I rarely get those timeouts, maybe once in 3-4 days. Not an issue for me but good job on working with Cloudflare, they are great.
