Tiktok are under pressure by woke people. They have to do their best with content moderation to avoid another congressional hearing or senate hearing.

As much as I hate all the "won't somebody think of the children" excuses so often used to push through draconian policies and laws, let's not pretend that parents have the same type of control over what their children get to see as they did in the 80s and 90s, pre-internet and smartphones. They can't just take their phones, laptops, tablets, smart TV's etc like they could find and take away a Playboy mag or VHS, which is why you see parental controls on a lot of tech and software. Extending that so social media is entirely rational given today's reality. Not that I think parental controls are effective past a certain age. But having them is better then not having them. With all of that said, this is entirely irrelevant to the topic. The main reason why Tiktok is so strict with this kinda stuff is because of that sweet, sweet advertiser $$$, and the "autopilot" nature of how videos are fed to users. It has absolutely nothing to do with politics. Tiktok has always been like this. So I don't know why you felt the need to randomly bring up "woke" and politics.
Fair enough. But the reality is that stupidity is a gradient. Whether you like it or not, some of the groups you mentioned are worse for your business model than others. You can not care and ignore the absolute shitshow that is modern politics. But in doing so you also can't complain if shit gets worse when a political party that hates porn and wants a national ban on it gets elected. Things can always get worse. And things have a tendency of getting worse if you let it.

We all do in fact live in a society that we interact with on a daily basis. So short locking up kids in a cave and raising them as literal cavemen there need to be solutions beyond parenting. You're basically saying the equivalent of we don't need to check IDs at the liquor store when somebody who's very clearly a minor tries to buy booze because it's the parent's job to make sure there's no liquor in the house the kid can access.

Calm down, I was just trying to comment on tiktok censorship & moderation. Tiktok has become very strict with their content moderation in general more than any other social networks like facebook, youtube, twitter and snapchat.
You are telling me that all these court hearings and ban threats by us gov are not part of the reasons why Tiktok became very strict with their content moderation.
