All of you guys from what i see is that you all think mozilla you think browser...
Non-Profit companies do pay there employees, but its just not as much as a normal company does. So in the event of being paid to work it is happening somewhere in there.
Also back in the day google was just a search engine nothing more.. Then they created google os which then was ported to a phone where investors immediately joined in on the action to create a new product that google alone could not pay for.. (this was the past remember)
Now firefox is new to the game. They started as a leading browser. You all say they are not gonna get anymore but dont forget people were trying so hard just to port android over to iphones just to use android on a system they have always had.
When the day comes and firefox decides to build there own os (android and ios are linux based so createing the phone drivers would be the main issue) some people will catch on and might like it so in the start it might be a "3rd party" os as mozilla has always been a "3rd party owner" but in the end people will end up replaceing android and ios if a port is made by mozilla....
They have always been open source in which could lead them to createing better apps for the phones that maybe people will move just for the face that it is free.
