PS. Thanks for the lesson, although I already know Google searching methods.
W0W, if you knew Google searching methods, you'd have never posted Bing is good.
Anyways, all depends on the person who is searching.

Now, when you quote my words, please use 'italic' lol

Please read my post again :p
I never commented on Bing.com, but I just posted, how google is accurate in terms of search. Also, I gave a tip, on how to get more accurate results :p

BlaZe and .mac take it easy.

So I'm still interested in Bing from a webmasters point of view. Does anyone get any good traffic off it? I've yet to receive a single hit.

Ok, sorry, my bad :p

I have received some hits from Bing.com :s but, I never took that into consideration, as google traffic was way much better than bing traffic.

i wondered where the fuck that shit shot up from!

i mean last few days i installed over 30 Pcs with windows 7 and all had bling! i was thinking wtf is this poo lol

but yea wondered why it had good results but yet dont have the features for me such as complex searches and site links in checking so sticking wid the almighty G

if they keep getting better then yes I will switch, I use now and again and like it, but still prefer google right now

No, and I would never do that.
Also how is bing getting better? This is the first time I've heard anyone on about it who hasn't said it's a big ball of fail.

Anyway I'd most likely always stick with google as they have everything, Google Search, Images, Mail, Maps, Docs, etc. Everything in one place and it's simple to use. That's what google has compared to everyone else. Simplicity.

one thing you guys probably didn't notice, Google and Yahoo's results and Bing's results varies greatly.

While I was seoing my pages I noticed this frequently. Yahoo ranks according to the number of backlinks for a site, while Google ranked according to the number of backlinks and probably even according to the pagerank + age of the domain. Bing would list sites with 0 backlinks proudly on top while sites with 100s of backlinks ranked well below page 1 - 2.

They are definately using a different algorithm, and .mac is correct in one sense. Bing does show accurate results almost similar to google. Ofcourse, it might be limited since its indexing capability is nowhere near Google.

So, conclusion....
Bing for:
Webmaster: is probably crap.
User: can prove to be very good.

Also, to all the people replying with crap... like .mac says provide a good reason why? Just because Google has 100x traffic doesn't mean its better. Most of china uses Baidu.com. Does that mean Google is not a good search engine for chinesemen? Not really. Its because Baidu.com is dominating the market, and Google is struggling. Same probably goes for bing.

Anyways, I still love simplicity and Google, so will probably be sticking with Google for now. :P

I'm always going to use google simply because I am not a 'change' kind of person, but if Bing gets epic popular, i'm talking #2 most used site on the internet i'll love it because obviously it will help link to my site/s more, giving me more traffic

Bing looks nice. I like the way they color categorize different categories. Looks good. I googled "dog" on both google and bing and got what I wanted faster on bing. (y)

Come on MisterT give a valid reason. This spam replies has got to be cut down. If your not going to give a valid reply then don't reply.

@Crucify:
Ya Google takes a lot more into account than just backlinks. Currently they take over 200 different things into account but it's secret to exactly what and how much weight each carries. It's know for certain though that the below have an influence although some are rather small.

They include (in no order): backlinks, page title, page load time, server location, amount of downtime the site has in it's history, internal links and where they go to, domain age, position of links on the page, headings (<h1> <h2> <h3> etc), amount of text on the page, do the heading keywords appear in the page text, do the title keywords appear in the page text, amount of images on the page, url, tld, keywords found in first 200 words in page, keywords found near footer, keywords found in general, keywords in alt tags, keywords in image links, image names, valid code, and lots lots more.

They update the Google Algorithm almost every three days making minor tweaks so it's constantly improving.

Most of the above is know through research and that part of the Google Algorythm was leaked a few years ago. It was the part on servers and load time so having a reliable, fast host near to your market is important.

I've read a few books on Google and how the Algorithm work but I know very little about how advanced Bing is. I'm presuming it doesn't take into account as much as Google and isn't as advanced yet and this is one of the reasons the results vary so much between them along with the number of pages they've indexed.

Let's face it - Bing (you know, Microsoft's search engine) is getting better every day. Because of that, and the fact that Google became evil (butting in in everyones business), many people are, switching to - Bing.

I've been using it for a few days and I have to say - I like it. It gives me accurate results of thing's I'm looking for and Bing Maps has way (like WAY) more coverage in my area and in Croatia in general. Altho still, GMail > Hotmail by far.

Anyways, what I was aiming on, are you considering on switching to Bing? I haven't switched yet but it's a very nice search engine. If you haven't tried it yet I encourage you to do so, you might like it. Really hope Apple brings Bing support to iPhone OS 4 as well (because of the maps :D).

Opinions?

PS. Please explain your vote.
Where did you got the fact, that a shitload of people are changing from google too Bing.
