Without discussing my opinions on the poor choices Matt has made dealing with this payment situation, I'm thinking at this point there are three types of people here:
A) People who are willing to give Streamin the benefit of the doubt until some unknown time in the future
B) People who can rationalize giving Streamin the benefit of the doubt as long as Streamin pays in this pay period of the 15th of the month
C) People who can no longer rationalize Matt's behaviour at all and believe the worst -- that we'll never see our money.
For what it's worth, I'm in the B) group. I think for me personally, I'm still happier to believe he's going to pay than accept the possibility (or to some certainty) that he isn't paying at all and I've lost my money. So for me, the clock's ticking. And for sure if he doesn't pay within a few days relative to the 15th pay period, I'll no longer be able to convince myself that I'll ever see this money. It would be despicable for sure.
