Should I join the army?

ieatlinux if it wasnt for true americans that fought and died for this country you'd likely never have been born..and if u were youd be speaking german or japanese in a much more f'd up world to boot..and, what sense does it make saying soldiers kill all these "innocents" then in the very next post u say youd pull a gat just for being disrespected? You do realize the earth DOESNT revolve just around you right?

Worst thing is that most of you still belive that youre defending your country against Irak, Iran, Venezuela and Bin Laden...or against terrorism... but the real truth is that youre fighting to defend the interests of people like Bush, Chirac and Berlusconi.
The first one, Mr bush, the biggest arm manufacturer in the world. USA is his first Client, followed by GB.
The second and third one, the two biggest petrol owners in the world. their companies are the 1rst european oil suppliers.
I forgot to say, that sending 20.000 soldiers to HAITI, armed with the latest tecnology, and shotting civilians wich dont have even 50c of dollar to eat per week, is also defending your country.... hhmmm.. sorry but that is called : " defending the 2nd biggest and unexploited oil region in central america"
I can continue talking all day... about this... but i have better things to do, rather than teach people about history...
You want to help and fight for your country... then dont try to go to afghanistan in search of "bin laden", cause now he is sitting next to mr bush, comparing their bank accounts and loughing.
Just go and do some social work for your comunitty, join the red cross or go and help homeless. Your children, your family, your whole country and community will be safer and better.
By the way.. If i ask you to point in a map where Afghanistan is.... can you do that ?

Todays conflicts are obviously a different story..but that being said, rooting out those that would terrorize the world, commit mass murder, bomb their OWN people as well as anyone else they deem "infidels" is a job that needs to be done. As far as Haiti goes, thats just hilarious trying to make it seem like we are targeting their population with anything..but humanitarian aid..yes Haiti ASKED for soldiers aid as well considering virtuall ALL prisons on the island became rubble and the scum once housed inside were out among the innocents causing havoc , looting, murdering citizens that are already victimized by the disaster.US soldiers are not killing innocents, that notion is just ridiculous..virtually all you said is, but im not trying to attack you, just pointing out the obvious flaws in your statements..Very few ppl hate Bush more than I do, but saying he and Bin Laden are holding hands is pure bullshit. Believe me if Laden wasnt buried in some hole somewhere hiding he'd be swingin from a rope already..and he earned that right by terrorizing the world at large..maybe we should all just let him do a Hitler on the entire world and not lift a finger..bullshit. What if he was operating in your country and your forces couldnt stop him..would you turn to your allies? U bet your leaders would. Simple facts are that we have been aiding afghanis for decades and they wanted the help..same in kuwait when IRAQ invaded..same in haiti, same in panama,same in s. vietnam, same in s. korea..so dont act like USA is out conquering countries for only reasons of greed..youre talking to a 43 yr old ex 82nd Airborne Infantryman as well so dont assume I dont know a bit about what Ive said. Not even touching the whole 2nd best to the SEALS thing, bcos frankly I never heard of your unit..but i think Army Special Forces likely trains or has trained your unit, just like they have for decades for most central/south American countries, so there again, I disagree..seals, spec forces ,marine force recon, delta force..we have alot of elite units to draw upon..WHEN NEEDED.
Tbh I dont even agree we shoulda had to redeploy to Iraq so dont even try to assume Im some kind of puppet. IMO saddam and his whole crew shoulda swung the FIRST time around, but it is what it is.As far as Laden goes, if it was just Al Queda and Bin himself, we wouldnt have had to deploy many forces there, but the facts are that its the Taliban that required considerable forces to deal with..and yes once again, the afghani gov and majority of ppl are the ones wanting them gone (as well as pakistan) So please, spare us the rhetoric saying US is just the worlds bully..thats just pure D bullshit..and sorry elio that dont fly either, did we take over panama? korea? grenada? Are we NOT trying to transition everything back over to the Iraqi/afghani govs? Get real, we are just the big boy on the block that everyone goes to when they get bullied or threatened..You think WE as americans want to be the worlds policemen and shit? Hardly..just sleep content knowing SOME country is willing to help if ever YOUR country needs a hand

Please elaborate then linux..how was it greed that we helped save europe in ww1..ww2 Japan attacked pearl harbor bringing us into it..communist regimes from china/n. korea invading democratic s. korea..wheres the greed? Same in 'nam..exactly what did we gain other than coming to the aid of said countries..same with Iraq after they invaded kuwait..yes the 2nd iraqi conflict should have been avoided simply by finishing it the 1st time..but do we now control the revenue from iraqi oil? Absolutely not..so please tell me wheres the greed? Sure we like everyone have made a few mistakes, but saying just about every war has been fought over greed is just false. Not in this day and age..virtually all have been fought to stop OTHER aggressors bent on tyranny and occupation..Frankly all this just proves to me that schools are failing miserably if so many of you young people are so misinformed about world history

Don't join the army if you think its good pay. Join it to get somewhere in life. A lot of people are joining the army because they wanna be something in different departments.

Actually ur wrong again sickboy we werent involved in that at all and your country certainly didnt reach out to us for help..why would they? We had been primary allies with Brits for decades..sounds to me like youre just bitter because the brits handed your whole country their ass in just a few days..where were your uber-elite commandos then? But most importantly YOUR country was the invader of the islands, so why would we come to your aid? We dont come to the aid of aggressors..Your country just needs to be smarter about who you screw with I guess.Furthermore, how many countries or people in need has Argentina aided?
