Well I just woke up and I'm browsing the net while I become fully awake and I get this pop up.

I'm not trying to taint Hyperz rep but if SharpLeech is a virus, it would help if people knew.

where did u download it from and its a known fact avira has a lot of false positives especially if u have it on high settings , try scanning on novirusthanks

Actually I don't have the any of the problems you guys are saying. Besides all SharpLeech does is post, only reason it would be a false positive is if it had trojan like activity such as modifying system files.

If you downloaded it from Code-Projects, you're fine. Hyperz is a highly respected member, he would never even think of infecting us. (He usually poison's my seeds though :( )

This has been discussed at my site. If you downloaded it from my site then it's a false positive. That detection has only started a few weeks ago, the program was compiled nearly 8 months ago.

I'm not sure where it comes from though. I think it has to do with the "fake" versions that are circulation which do have a trojan attached (like the so called beta 3). Either that or the AV program sees the login functionality as dangerous. Whatever the case it's a false positive and if i were to simply recompile beta 2 without changes the warning would disappear.

If you don't trust it don't use it. The program is not packed so anyone can inspect it with Reflector which will prove there is no virus in there.

Alright, I was just curious I've inspected it, seen nothing out of the ordinary but I was just looking for some response. Thanks Hyperz.

Yeah, happened to me with the Multi-Poster as well hyperz. It is indeed the login process that triggers it.

Nowt to worry about.

Well that sucks. It gives us a bad image or reason for doubt. Why can't these AV's do their job? I'd start to think that some AV's do this just to give the user the impression that his AV is very good/efficient. Bah X-(
