Share my dedicated server

I own a dedicated server at ecatel which is at the moment only hosting 1 site. I'm not using more then 10% of the server's resources at the moment which is a bit of a waste so I was thinking of sharing the server with someone here.

I'm willing to allow a couple of people use it for $40/month. I obviously pay a lot more but this can help divide the costs. This will be much better then a shared host or VPS since its dedicated and doesnt have a massive number of sites crammed on 1 server.

The condition is that you don't overuse the resources. You'll be given your own DirectAdmin control panel from where you can do whatever you want.

No warez/porn cannot be uploaded to the server. Warez forum is ok.

PE R200 Dual Core Xeon 3065 (2.33GHz, 4MB, 1333MHz FSB)
2GB (2x1GB Dual Rank DIMMs) 667MHz
500GB SATA (7,200rpm) 3.5inch Hard Drive (non hot-plug)
5 TB 100 mbit unshared

I can give you a dedicated IP address. Its a medium-sized server which is easily good enough for most mid-high traffic sites.

The server has been somewhat secured by me, but I am by no means an expert. I highly doubt it can be hacked since everything is up-to-date and ecatel deal with any ddossing problems I have had in the past.

yep, i dont need anything more powerful. like i said, i'm barely using 10% of the resources so it wouldn't make sense to upgrade the server.

Its better to pay 40$ per month than being on a shared hosting as mostly you will be kicked out or the server speed will decrease soon as many sites be on that server.

and i dont think all hosters have this configuration for their shared hosting node

You wont get root access for security reasons but this is hardly what you would call a normal shared host.

Firstly, there will be a maximum of 3 people and you will get a dedicated ip. This means you can easily use the server to its full potential without the shitty speeds and cap on resources you get with normal shared host.

Also, if you do need something specific installed on the server, I'm sure we can work something out.

The server speed here won't change and its on a fast line with enough b/w.
