They told me what has happened. Just sayin. :|

Our investigations conclude that this happened due to a breach in our billing system software (WHMCS). It was too late till the time a patch fix was issued by the WHMCS developers. After we get this to normal, we will be working on a new system which will be much more secure to prevent unauthorized data deletion, along with incremental backups to revert easily in case of a disaster.

So if the users who have changed their solus and root password from the default one displayed in their whcms, then they should not be affected by the hack?

because the billing software logs user and password info

So if the users who have changed their solus and root password from the default one displayed in their whcms, then they should not be affected by the hack?

because the dumb over at servedome are too incompetent to do more security checks then suppose to do what they to do is have team that does regular checks for security holes and exploits and block access to those areas till their patches or just blocks from public access or hackers attempts point blank and simple...
