Seperate category/board for hosting providers only

Hi,

Title says it all, opinions are welcome..
The category/board should contain some boards like Abuse/General talk/Legal issue's etc...

Example why it should be usefull:
Could be a usefull place for hosting providers to share IP's who oftenly sent flood attacks to prevent them for all.

May even be a paid subscription in my opinion..

I could see a sub forum being made like

Hosting discussions -> legal

But then agian not sure there's plenty of forums here on WJ for things like that.

Some information should only belong to people with the actual knowledge about it in my opinion, if it gets rejected i'll make such a site myself..

As far as expanding to encompass reporting ips and such. I'm against getting involved with any type of public ip reporting.

If you have the capabilities of creating your own reported IP issue site then do so,



Also keep in mind things like that are not always accurate and can cause issues for many people,

Say the person before me on this x server had this ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
And there after I received it. And people saw on the net it was a bad IP
For email, ddos, abuse etc.


How would you keep up with all of that?

Probably depends on the scale of the company and the attacks towards it, nevermind on it....
