Hii folks .

Visiting Wjunction after a long time.It has been a great place for me not only to learn lots of things but also to make lots of friends.

Anyways this is a short tutorial for all SEO tips seekers .

I hope you guys already know about rel="canonical" .well You can now use the rel="next" & rel="prev" as a html link element to indicate the relationship between component URLs in a paginated series.

Now where you can use this link element or paginates series ?

Well you can use it wherever you need to break a page of your website into several pages.
like
1>It can be a blog post or an article divided into several pages.
2>In a e-shopping site ,a product category with items spread across several pages
3>Forum thread divided into a sequence of URLs.

Well you can use it whenever you need to break a page to describe related content.

you can look into this pic
[SLIDE]http://i27.lulzimg.com/7228f9d8e9.jpg[/SLIDE]

see in the first example a single article is divided into several pages and in the next example a product category divided into several pages.

Why you need to use it ?

The relationship between component URLs in a series can now be indicated to Google through rel=”next” and rel=”prev”.

If you use this link element then google bots will suck it with pleasure because you are giving him a strong indication that you’d like it to take that paginated series as a indexing properties, such as links, from the component pages to the series as a whole.It means links will not remain dispersed between page-1.html, page-2.html, etc., but it will be grouped with the sequence

How to use it ?

Here you go .
Lets say someone created 3 new thread in wjunction to describe one single topic how great wjunction is.

[SLIDE]http://i27.lulzimg.com/8a5cf1fece.jpg[/SLIDE]

page 1 url :
http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-1
page 2 url :
http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-2
page3 url :
http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-3

On the first page, http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-1,you need to include in the <head> section:

<link rel="next" href="http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-1" />

On the second page, http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-2:

<link rel="prev" href="http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-1" />
<link rel="next" href="http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-3" />

On the third page, http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-3:
<link rel="prev" href="http://www.wjunction.com/same-story.html#post-2" />

Well I think you all intelligent minds all ready got it.But still I am gonna explain it because i am in sex mood :D

1> in the first page there should not be any prev element because that is the first page it self.

2>in the middle pages prev element should be linked to immediate previous page and next element should be linked to immediate next page .

3>In the Last page there should not be any next element because that is the last page it self.

Well thats it.If any typos are there please forgive me.
Enjoy.Will be back with another tutorial shortly.All tutorials are written by me so it takes a little bit time.

Another good tutorial : Site Ping to make your blog indexed faster

People are far more likely to click a load more button like on Google+ or Facebook than go to a new page. This is what I have on my site too. It's better as it's faster to load by Ajax and is less stress on your server so consider that first and use the above for non JavaScript users.
