If you use cloudfare, don't activate their cache feature. It won't load your images.

For DDoS its quite worthless if you are not using the PRO version.

But I would not advise to use it at all, since as far as I see they provide the SSL between their servers and the user, but from the servers to the hosting server no SSL.

if you have few complain so you can use incapsula is much more better than cloudflare.
if you have high so cloudflare just you need set it well.
they send you mail when get dmca complain and provide your host company to abuser
