The design indeed is attractive , but has increased your site's load time , try to use a minimal theme which will lessen your ram usage , plus the site will load pretty faster , check site's performance using the various tools available online.
Get a professional and well written description if you can ( Just an advice )
The categories should be ordered well , for e.g - make a master category according to the anime genre and then sort the different shows out.
The forums aren't live I guess , fix that and well I would recommend you wordpress instead of joomla , since wordpress is easy to customize and more flexible ( just my personal opinion )
