nofollow is automatically added to all links in posts on WJunction.

If I link to another topic or post on WJ then the nofollow shouldn't be added as this prevents Google getting around WJ. It's bad for WJ's organic traffic. If I link to an external site then the nofollow should remain.

eg someone asks about a multiposter and someone links to the themaposter topic then that shouldn't have a nofollow link. Allowing Google to flow between similar topics like that is very important.

It's a simple if else php statement. Just one line of code that needs to be added to the plugin and shouldn't take more than 3 minutes to do.

It's very beneficial if this is added and I really hope staff bring this to senior admin attention if they fail to see it.

While we're on the subject, no-follow the 'Home Page' link under contact info since profiles are visible to guests.

Well I'd actually like something else done to that following Google's latest update. I'd like to see author attribute used in WJunction with the option of linking to your Google Plus profile but their are good and bad ways of doing that. I might make a tutorial or create another topic on it sometime as if it's done right it has huge potential but it's a bit more complicated than just removing a nofollow for internal links.

removed. let me know if it's ok for you

seems to work ;)
PHP:

I'm afraid the nofollow is still there but thanks for taking the time to look into this. If you do get it removed for internal links it will be well worth the effort.

According to my tests and results, Google passes some keyword relevance with nofollow.
So, it is not completely ignored.
You can try testing this using misspelled keyword, that have no search results in Google.

if you guys have any idea how to solve this, please share
i changed the settings for vb seo but i don't see anything else in vbulletin that handles links.

There's an option in vbulletin under BB Code Settings - URL nofollow domain Whitelist
[slide]http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/1959/634687486398840255.png[/slide]
I am not sure whether the option will work with vbSEO enabled though.

There is default option in vBSEO for internal rel="nofollow"s and external rel="nofollow"s.

If disabling internal rel="nofollow"s is not working then there must be some mod installed which is not allowing it.
