Hello

im sorry to post a question like this

i was with filepost, and now they seem to not be accepting no new payments, so likely they will be gone soon

im looking for a host with a decent amount of storage for pro users at least 6tb, the more the better, as i no technically unlimited storage is now unreliable, also a host that doesn't delete files that are inactive is essential,

only a small number of people will be downloading the files uploaded, and the files are non dmca/ no porn etc

so basically a filehost suggestion for backup would be great as well,

im thinking rapidgator?

i would really appreciate any suggestion at all!

Thanks

hi sandraz, i tried 1fincher, and didnt have great results, when i redownloaded some of my files, they removed my premium membership because i used to much bandwidth, so there are "hidden elements" with that site

also i tried uptobox, might look at it again, but i was told reliability may not be to good because its a certain type of scrtipt?

id appreciate any other input??, maybe ive posted in the wrong section, i dont really need an affiliate, reliability is key

regards

How much bandwidth did you use when 1fichier removed your premium?

that was a rare occurrence because a hd failed, but it was roughly 250gb, downloading my files over a three day period, and they still removed premium, in this instance, it will be unlikely i will be downloading again (backup hd) unless the host shuts down and gives notice like filepost has

on a side note the main issue is if someone has any suggestions as first post i would be great full, some hosts that are reliable, and been here a while

regards

WTF. They removed your premium for downloading only 250GB? Ridiculous. I am also using 1fichier right now but I might have to look for a new backup host now.
When they removed your premium, did they also delete your files? Or you just had to buy premium again and they let you continue use your account?

I no man, im telling you, i actually posted the email they sent me on the previous thread i posted on afew days back it was nothing large like terrabytes of data, i only had 1.1 tb of data on there any way, im telling, you if you come unstuck and have a hard drive crash and need access to your data quick, they will do this

they didnt delete my files, to be fair, i had to use download credits, and rebuy premium, but you have to ask yourself, what the next step? when you go over there "unofficial limit" again

again any input on a host id appreciate

"at least 6tb"
"doesn't delete files"
"only a small number of people will be downloading the files uploaded"
"non dmca"
"no porn"

Why don't you use Google Drive Unlimited?

Google Drive is probably expensive as fuk.
Hubic looks good. 10TB storage for only 10 euro a month. It's ran by OVH so probably very reliable too.
I might try this. I wonder what their bandwidth(download) limit is though. It needs to have hotlinks for direct download and good interface for exporting links or it will be a pain in the ass for using as a backup storage.

runabove gives you up to 3 Gbps speed and is also by ovh.
You can use an api.

You could create a simple html static website on your storage and serve everything trough cloudflare.
The reason for the static html site is that they require you to have one in order to use their free service.
You cannot just route the storage directly through them.

If you have 10 Tb of data but only use a few Gb of data per day (most recent content, while old content is archived),

You could use some cheap cdn with pull origin to your storage or maybe use a few vps or cheap dedicated servers as reverse proxy (with nginx and microcache) to serve your content.

Why would anyone go through so much hassle just for "backup" storage?
For most people, backup storage is just a place to store their files(not share or offer for download).
In my case, I need backup storage because I can't store all my files on my RDP.
