Question 1: If i have more than 50,000 Free-RapidPoints and 50,000 Premium-RapidPoints, what should i do. Should i extend the account for 1 year or should i wait for 29th June?

Ans: You should extend it for one year. That way you'll get 7300 Rapids for 50K FP + 50K PP. If you leave the points as it is you will get 6000 rapids. The reason is given below

50K PP + 50k FP = 1 year Account. And since each day will be converted to 20 Rapids so 365 Days will give you 365x20= 7300 Rapids

If you let your points remain as it is then after July 29th:

50K PP + 50k FP will give 6,000 Rapids.

So if you extend the account for 1 year you get extra 1300 rapids.

Question 2: What will happen to my points after 29th June

Ans:Well 5,000 Free-RapidPoints and 5,000 Premium-RapidPoints will become 600 Rapids. If you have more just do the math.
50,000 Free-RapidPoints and 50,000 Premium-RapidPoints will become 6000 Rapids.
100,000 Free-RapidPoints and 100,000 Premium-RapidPoints will become 12000 Rapids.

Question 3: How many Rapids can we collect

Ans: 50,000. If you have more than 416667 FP and 416667 PP, they extra points will be wasted after 29th June

Question 4: If you have more than 416667 FP and 416667 PP points what should i do with extra points

Convert them to One year accounts. Since the point no more have a time frame for expiry. You can keep those accounts as long as you don't use them. Keep those accounts for the time when you run out of your current account

Question 5: Do i have to pay for upload. What would happen if i take the RapidSmall Package which only has 10 GB Storage. Would i be unable to upload more than 10GB. And what if i have 200GB in my account. Will Rapidshare delete all the 190 GB and will leave only 10 GB

Your uploads won't be deleted as long as they are downloaded once every 60 days. Doesn't matter which package you have. The 10 GB storage mentioned in the news page means 10 GB of your files won't be deleted even if they are not downloaded for more than 60 days.

You can upload as much as you want and even if you have 300GB in your account, those files won't be deleted on 29th June or later as long as they are being downloaded once every 60 days.

Question 6: What is the most similar package to the previous one month premium account

Ans: RapidMedium. It has the same 5 GB limit as one month account had. It's price becomes to around 7.5 Euro which is 0.5 Euro more constly. But since you can turn it off and on, it can be used for much more time

Question 7: Would there be happy hour

Ans: nobody is sure. Maybe or maybe not. Wait till 29th June

Question 8: Would RS give us any points for our files being downloaded?

Ans: nobody is sure. RS hasn't specifically mentioned that. Neither have they denied it. Maybe or maybe not. Wait till 29th June

TrafficShare and the old system was so GODDAMNED CONVENIENT.

These bastards just had to fuck up... No more trafficshare purchases.. and the best plan has only 120gigs/day :S

Allright guys theres some changes going on at rapidshare from 30th of june 2010
Before i start with it let me tell you that it might be confusing for you at first time but i will be more precise on telling you what you going to do i.e DOWNLOADERS with your accounts so sit back read it all


- There will be NO LIMITED premium memberships , what this means is that no more 1 month . 3 month or 1 year accounts ANYMORE..

- Instead of time based accounts i.e 1 month and so on , they have introduced a new system called "RAPIDS"


- Whats RAPIDS?

Ans) They are POINTS which u will buy from Rapidshare through HARD CASH..yes u heard that right pay from Paypal or by any mean for your RAPIDS.And here are the rates for RAPIDS you can buy

400 Rapids € 4,99
1000 Rapids € 9,95
2000 Rapids € 19,90
5000 Rapids € 49,75
20000 Rapids € 199,00


- So what i do with Rapids?

Ans) once you bought RAPIDS , suppose i bought 400 rapids for 4.55 Euros = 500 Rupees as mentioned above , i will use them do DOWNLOAD .Yes !!..You can now use your Rapids to use them as your DOWNLOAD SPACE.

- What is the ratio of RAPIDS to DOWNLOAD space i will get?

Ans) Here are different PLANS you can use and can switch them in between when u need it.



RAPID SMALL - 4 RAPID / DAY = 1GB DOWNLOAD SPACE A DAY

RAPID MEDIUM - 20 RAPID / DAY = 5GB DOWNLOAD SPACE A DAY

 RAPID BIG - 78 RAPID / DAY = 20GB DOWNLOAD SPACE A DAY

 RAPID SUPERSIZE - 229 RAPID /DAY = 60GB DOWNLOAD SPACE A DAY

 RAPID BUSSINESS - 449 RAPID / DAY = 120GB DOWNLOAD SPACE A DAY


So you got your Ans i guess..

So in short What you mean ?

Ans) . you buy RAPIDS not Accounts anymore , then u manage ur rapids , like if u buy 400 rapids you can use them for even 400 days if you follow the RAPID SMALL PLAN i.e 4 RAPIDS a day ..GOT IT?!!!

If you want to download a game for 10GB then u switch u plan then download 10GB using your RAPIDS

So manage them wisely .. dont waste them..you dont need 5GB daily space ? , go ahead and change ur plan to SMALL , it will use less points hence you can get more days with your RAPIDS


PEOPLE WHO HAVE THEIR CURRENT ACCOUNTS , WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THEIR POINTS

- 5000 Free points + 5000 Premium points = 600 RAPIDS
50000 Free points + 50000 Premium points = 6000 RAPIDS
 
This is a really smart move

now they stopped
-selling RS accounts
-sharing RS accounts with others ( as it will cost you the age of your account )
-RS2RS in case there are no happy hours.

In general it's good news for downloaders like me who don't download a lot from their premium as I mainly use torrents

However there are still no news regarding UPLOADERS ( like me also ) so we have to wait more

They have to give RAPIDS for something or they'll be doomed. something should be given to uploaders if they wanna live
 
RS really has fucked it all up. This move is a dumb move, even for the downloaders. The trafficshare system was way convenient. Now, you have to manage your account all the time, as an upgraded account will lose/waste bandwidth that's not used.

The fuck is up with rapidshare?

I think the new CEO has been smoking some crack. It's a shame to see what was once a great filehost become total crap
 
Could not have agreed more. Ever since Bobby moved out, things have gone downhill.

Makes me wonder Bobby probably knew this was coming, and he decided to up and quit.
 
stop crying that you can't profit from the warez scene anyomore and get a proper job

maybe this will bring back some good old memories, when the warez scene wasn't only about money

please katz keep the rules like that.
 
DarioX it's not about making money, it's about not being able to upload and store our files for sharing purposes without paying an absurd amount of money.

I'm not in warez for the money, but I'd also like to minimize the money I lose...

This isn't about getting paied for uploading, this is about paying to upload...

That's diferent stuff 8-)
