I've just been able to connect for a very short time using Mozilla with a dutch ip from an ip-changer add-on. Though the site was very slow.
Any further tries failed

Same here. Down from my PCs and my servers. Ping = 100% packet loss. Traceroute fails.
Seems to work behind a few (web-)proxies though.
Modifying DNS (Google DNS, OpenDNS) doesn't solve it.

Seems more like a very badly mitigated DDoS attack with most of the legitimate traffic being jailed hehe...

It's been down since almost 12h now, right?
