Question about plagiarism

People always say that content is king and that it should be unique but can Google also catch plagiarism in Pdf and Ppt publications? The reason that I am asking is because I would like to change up a few of my websites and I would not want to run into the issue of being the ‘copying party’ when someone else copied my information first.
