Squidoo lens page creation and Hub page creation are also some important techniques to create strong back links easily and quickly. Reciprocal link exchange and 3 way link exchange with other domains is also another easy technique to create strong back links.

There are many offpage submission techniques used to promote your business as above other guy stated. But i think getting backlinks and promote your business are two different things.

Can this method be applied in an online store website? I have a store website but its not getting traffic. Well, its still new and i havent put a lot of products yet.
