I get similar problems when using my ISP`s DNS cache, so I use openDNS.

Login to your router and set the DNS server IPs to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.

Firefox would have cached DNS aswell, so you may need to clear the cache after updating IP`s
 
There was nothing wrong wqith my connection, for some reason i just got these problems in FF for a few days, it worked in other browsers and all other sites i use were fine. The problem resolved itself..
