PMs Don't Seem to work?

I want to be able to send/reply to PMs...I can receive them, but when I click send, it submits like it worked but it doesn't show up in sent messages and doesn't seem to have sent?

Edit: And yes, the "Enable PMs" box in the options is set.

I think sent items is off by default.

Tick the 'Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default' checkbox.
