I think that the images are too big on the articles.

I like the calendar dates, they stick out and make it look nice, although who really cares about the date? lol

I think it's ok for a blog, I have seen much better looking ones, but I like the fact that yours doesn't take a year to load and you haven't bombarded the index with so much content it freezes my page (thank you).

Update your layout, banner, graphics. Make the images more proportionate. Get a Favicon. Good luck.
