Hi, I'm planning a new project and want to decide if i should use php or python as the language. The project should host on a shared host. My problem is that i'm not sure if there are enough shared hosts with python support (the project should be portable to most of the hoster). With the forum search i found only 14 entries. Have most of the hoster python support and don't mention it or is the support for this language really so bad?

greetings

Well it depends, if you're after raw performance Python will completely humiliate PHP in most cases. If you're after support and want access to more pre-made scripts PHP is the way to go. A lot of hosts support Python but I'm not sure if that's the case with offshore hosts.

Thx for your opinions. I choose php. The performance of python would be nice but compatibility is more important.
