When contacted with a DMCA violation, generally no matter what location in the world it is hosted, it would be smart to take down the reported content.

Legit DMCA violations on large sites believe it or not don't happen that often, and when they do it would be best to just remove the content which is usually 1-20 threads..

I'd rather host my site elsewhere, it's not too hard to get a server from OVH and resell the servers for more than what you actually paid.

I know a few torrent sites that are still on OVH's network and have been running fine, if you want to take the risk, you can.

This prices are ridiculous.

Seedplace.org.uk has much better prices and plans too..what a rip off.

Seedplace.org.uk also hosts at the OVH DC in France, so in the first place this is not "offshore", and once complaints come they will shut you down. In the second place, Seeplace are also a "rip off", as they simply cannot say that your site is 100% safe hosted with them, as the DC will never agree to the hosting of anything that breaks their T&C!
