Download and install k-light codec pack as administrator

Go to Start/All Programs/K-Lite Codecs Pack/Configuration/ffdshow video decoder
You will see the window "Capture_1"
Now change all "disabled" decoder settings to "lbavcodec".
Where not possible use any allowed choice. See image "Capture_2"
Click on "Apply".
In left menu click on "DirectShow control". See image "Capture_3"
Mark "Use ffdshow only in:" and click on "Edit"
New window will appear, "Capture_4" click on "Add..." and browse to your NewsMaker executable file.
It will appear in the list.
Click "OK", "Apply" and "OK".
That's it, you NewsMaker should be forced to use ffdshow now, and most of the videos should work fine.
